The APM defines scope management as the process whereby outputs, outcomes and benefits are identified, defined and controlled. Learners will discover the key factors and fundamental elements that should be considered and addressed when managing the scope of a project, including:

  • What is scope
  • Requirements management
  • Definition of scope and scope management
  • The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • The benefits of a WBS
  • Additional structures
  • The Responsibility Assignment Matrix
  • The RACI diagram
  • Stakeholder engagement plan

This course is designed for those new to working in projects, or non-project staff who wish to gain a basic understanding of the project environment and project management terminology.
