Throughout the module you will learn to demonstrate an awareness of the need for a high level of professional and ethical conduct in engineering, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment. The work will also be informed by current issues and leading edge practice, such as artificial intelligence and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

- Lessons learnt from construction and operational failures
- International standards for health, safety, and welfare
- Defining and assessing safe systems of work including method statements
- Responsibilities to project team and public of employers, clients, designers, contractors, and operators
