ICE Training launched the Apprenticeships tool kit at the Semta skills Awards
On the 8th March, I was honoured to be the guest of Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) and SEMTA at the SEMTA skills awards.

This is an evening of celebration of the 'Best of British' engineering and a spectacular showcase of the talented individuals, inspiring businesses, skills and diversity from across all advanced manufacturing and engineering sectors.

On the same day as the budget in which the government announced additional funding for T-Level it was a fantastic evening recognising those who chose the apprentice route as their career path and those who support them through their journey.

For ICE Training and myself, it was a double celebration as we also announced the launch of a new tool kit to assist firms in attracting and retaining girls aged 11 to 18 into Civil Engineering.

This partnership with SEMTA, WISE and the Institution of Civil Engineers supported by Aveva, Babcock, EDF Energy, HS2, Rolls Royce and TFL is designed to provide skills to avoid unconscious bias for employers and the technical and business skills.
